Our Consortium Advisory Group (CAG)

COMDIS-HSD is advised by an independent group of experts, who specialise in communicable diseases and international development. They meet each year to guide the strategy and implementation of the consortium.
Our CAG members are:
ADHProfessor Anthony D Harries (CAG Chair) – Senior Adviser, International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease. Prof Harries is a physician and a registered specialist in the UK in infectious diseases and tropical medicine and spent over 20 years living and working in sub-Saharan Africa. He was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to work in TB in Africa in 2002.
 
 
Abdul Ghaffar 2Dr Abdul Ghaffar – Executive Director, Alliance for Health Policy Systems Research. Dr Ghaffar has over 30 years of experience of working in low- and middle-income countries managing research for health; planning, designing and evaluating national health systems; and teaching health policy and management.
 
 
 
Bryan HaddonMr Bryan Haddon – Executive Chairman and Health Systems Analyst, Health Partners International. Mr Haddon’s expertise is in the management, planning, appraisal and reform of the health sector, including systems analysis, change management, institutional strengthening and project management.

Dr Knut Lönnroth – Senior Medical Officer, Global TB Programme, World Health Organization. Dr Lönnroth has advanced expertise in public health, social medicine, epidemiology, and health policy.
